(This board has been revived to save space from creating a new topic. Sorry Ati, but I have to keep things moving, have Rowan enter in when you get the chance)
He'd been asleep for a while now, back in the safety of their dull and dreary tenament. The wind played with the torn curtains which draped over the open window, and shadows cast against the doorway where once, eons ago, a door had actually been. Now it was little more than a slum for these two pariah, placed here with little else to do, and little place to go.
Dreams were nothing for him, fleeting images, voices and sounds waxing and waning with the nondescript vanity of the moon. Like footprints in the virgin snow, as snow keeps faling the tracks are hidden, washed away as the sands of a beach. Dreams were meaningless to him, whether it be of death of happiness he counted them not as omens, but illusions.
He lifted his black head, listening to the steady stream of wind rap at the stone walls. Eyes which dripped with purple color looked up, saught out the "sleeping beauty". "Hey-" Abyss muttered, half yawning and half still sleeping. "Are you awake?"

The pain she felt was unreal. At least she had felt such pain before. It wasn’t comforting like the pain that was brought from her lovers fangs. No, or the joyful pain of spilt blood from a fresh wound. It was a burden that she had once loathed but now was excited about such things. She was resting, plumb belly beneath her, and she snarled. The pitiful whines most females gave wouldn’t come from her jaws. Her pups would be just as ruthless as she and Abyss were if not worse. Only a true worrier could give birth with out crying.
She moved towards Abyss and snarled at him. It was a warning and a demand; “get out!” her words were as thick as tar. Her body language was aggressive and if he didn’t move in two seconds flat his ass would be hers. The pain was getting worse and she was sure not all were alive. She hoped that the death of what ever cub would come first and the rest would follow. Her pupils were dilating and her contractions were growing stronger. It would be a relief of hers to rid her belly of the painful kicks. She would need rest and food but would be happy to be aloud to play once more. She couldn’t wait to strike fang on fang with her love and now young. She knew she would need to be a little gentle with them but they would know pain early. Unlike most mothers who would correct her young when they fought, she would allow them to learn this way. She wondered what each individual would be like and who would gain her mental ailment. How fun would it be to have a female like her self? Just as aggressive and angry as she.

Well, that pretty much answered his question. Abyss lifted up his tired black head and turned a purple eye on his dear Yithus. Taken half by surprise, he returned her snarl, quickly getting to his feet and moving for the exit. Never once as he backed away did his take his eyes from her, the green she-wolf whose beating heart sounded in his ears like a solemn metronome.
Abyss did not take the warning light, he was not a fool to canid taboos. Males were not permitted during the birth, that was a custom dating back as long as time could tell. Outside the stone den he sank down, head placed on his paws and ears flat. Was this really it, the moment of truth? Never once in his life did Abyss imagine being a father. He just wasn't fatherly material. But what sort of a bastard would he be to turn down what he had sired? This was his own doing, this had been their choice. For now, his prayers were all to Yithus, willing her strength. But who was he praying to? No one, what Gods did he believe in?
How much trust could one put in Yithus's maternal instincts? Perhaps the second thing Abyss was wishing for the most was that Yithus would not devour their young, a wish that placed just under Yithus pulling through the ordeal. Surely she would have some spare wraith left over after the birth that would be taken out on the unfortunate mate. Well, he'd gone through hell with her this far, he figured it couldn't get much worse. Abyss looked over his shoulder, straining his sight into the shadowed entrance of the stone shelter a the wind teased at the doorway drapes. Head drooped on his paws again, impatiently waiting to hear the results.

Finally she was alone. This was so damn uncomfortable. She paced around a few times, attempting to become somewhat comfortable but it was to no avail. She sighed and plopped her self down and began to clean the area for preparation of the birth. She had done so with less care in the last litter but being as these were her blood cubs she would take care to avid any type of infection. The pains of contractions were spreading and she could feel them attempting to break free into the world. What a strange way it was for them to enter into this disgraceful world. The pack they lived in would they be accepting of them? Would her mind change with the care of her new young? Who knew these things but the gods above? They knew what plan was laid out for her and her young pups.
First to be born was a solid green male. No movement or cries clearly expressed he had been dead. This was unfortunate but a natural process and she did not weep for the death of her cub.
Next to come was a small female, her body was very tiny and she looked like the pup barley weighed a pound. Her tiny nose wriggled around and she screamed as loud as she could as if demanding she be fed now. Well, wasn’t she the pushy little cub. Her fur was as grey as her grandmothers and the green from her mother was wrapped around her muzzle. A line of green fur went down her back and to the tip of her tail very much like a skunk. Yet by her shoulders and to the middle of her belly the pattern spread like wings. The little cub’s name would be Alkaid. The next to be born was a large male; he looked to be about four pounds already. He shoved his sister aside but made no whimpers or whines, just a subtle little growl that sounded more like a purr. He was very aggressive towards his sister and wiggled towards his mother for warmth. He was a beautiful green color like his mother with black stripes on his legs and a black back. His fur had just a pinch of brown accented in with the black. His name would be Adian. Following the little green male was another male wolf. His coat was black with a hint of green. Three small green circles were above his eyes and three stripes of green went down his back. His name would be Quinn.
Finally the last two pups came together. One female was smaller than the other. Her fur was black overcoat with brownish green underside. She made a few facial markings as well. Her name would be Reza. Her sister had black fur with a subtle blend into the odd dusting of dark green. She also had a distinctive dark green band around her small tail. Her name was kore. This was finally over. She pushed the pups together in the back of the den and grabbed the dead on. She picked it up by its belly and moved outside the den. She say nothing to Abyss as she moved behind the den and began to dig. It deserved a proper burial and she would see to it that it had one. She sighed and she placed the solid green pup into the earth and frowned. What a shame. She moved back towards the den and towards her pups, she looked towards Abyss and in a long and tired sigh whispered, “Come see them.” With that she moved around them and placed each pup on a nipple to feed.

Time fell slowly like a newly birthed snowflake drifting downwards to earth, piling up into virgin snow beneath the crimson skies where the starlight shown. His eye lids drooped warily, deep sighing breaths formed to fog about his muzzle, ears twitching at every sound. Lifting his slim black skull hopefully and turning to the entrance, waiting for a sign. And when the sign didn't come, he'd rest his head down again on his little paws, take another sigh, and continue the waiting game restlessly. The moans and growns stirred him deep, sent a cold thrill down his spine. Once or twice, even giving a light whine, a thing the proud Abyss rarely did.
During the waiting game Abyss had too much time to think, something that never ended well. He thought about a lot of things, passing the time along. About what fatherhood meant, and if he was ready. If he'd ever really feel ready. Well, it was too late to turn back now, can't abort pups that are ready to be born...Could you? No, he shook his head and turned the thoughts away. This was something he had known would happen, and went along anyway. He knew it the minute he caught scent of Yithus's change, felt it in his spine, in his heart, and in other places less mentionable. Abyss was fully aware of the outcome when he took those purposeful step towards the green she-wolf, and she knew too that this would happen. Even with knowing this, she had let Abyss approach. And they vanished beneath the stars.
Here they were, two months later, playing a waiting game. His eye lids shut for just a moment, before springing open again. The green she-wolf stepped out into the cold wind, a stillborn dangling from her jaws. Abyss kept a tight, unmoving expression as Yithus silently passed him by. And he waited a little more as she buried the pup beneath the snow and soil. The mother, who gave her child back to the earth. Waiting for her words of invitation, and not moving an inch until then. But when she finally spoke the words, Abyss was quick to his feet, springing after the tired mother.
Purple eyes scanned over the squirming balls of fur as they wrestled for a nursing spot, counting them in total. "Five." He spoke at last, moving towards Yithus and the pups. Their pups. A mixture of pride and anxiety lept up through him, sitting down beside his mate. "You did a damn good job." Abyss whispered, chewing playfully on her ear.

She smiled and licked each of them. These little balls of fur apparently soothed her heart just a touch. No violence was shown on any, no fresh blood that did not belong to her. They were perfectly fine and healthy. She took in a heavy sigh and licked his muzzle. Six her head was saying, there were six of them. No, one had passed. She was still trying to fathom such a tragedy in her mind. She was like a ghost when she had passed him. Not thinking twice about what she was doing. She shook her head and looked them over. So many were girls but at least they had two boys. “Five is right. Already two are showing aggression. How funny that they would act like me as a cub.” She said with a cold chuckle. Aggression, please, when she had first gained teeth she was trying to tear her siblings apart. She was beyond aggressive. She had that killer instinct in her from the start. After all, she was the sin created in that litter. The one left to bear the scar of rape on her soul.
She kicked her feet a little to try and help position the cubs. She wondered just how well they would survive in this mess of a world. “Do you think they will be accepted with in this pack?” she asked. She wasn’t going to risk them being harmed if he thought they wouldn’t be. Sedge had given them his blessing after all but would Fish honor it?

His eyes did what his face would not: Smile. A warm spirit moved up through his body, ravaging his brain and escaping through his teeth. He breathed again a heavy sigh, the cold air which stunk of birthing fluids and fresh born life. "Did you give them names already, or have you decided to wait till they're a little bit older for that?" Those eyes, liquid velvet, grazing over their soft fragile bodies. They were from his flesh and blood, from her flesh and blood. They were the union of their two bodies, the merging of the two violent entities.
Abyss lay his head on Yithus's shoulders, brows narrowing to take up a more serious look. "I don't have a clue. Sedge Ears is their uncle after all, maybe that offers some sort of protection. And that pansy ass fag he calls his son, I guess Fish could call them his cousins. We won't know for sure. But for now, just close your eyes. For a little while. Sleep." He whispered in her ear seductively, licking her cheek in reassurance. "Surrender to sleep."
(I've always wanted to call Fish that. I am not actually implying that he's gay but....I have /always/ wants to call him that. Because it just slides off the tongue)

The den for a moment felt unbearably cold. Like this very happy occasion wasn’t happy at all. What made her feel so cold was something she couldn’t comprehend, perhaps it was her hormones? She didn’t know but she cuddled up closer to her mate. The cubs each cried with disapproval of her movements and wiggled their little behinds back over to her to feed. Damn those pups were fucking hungry. The words slipped into her frazzled mind of names and she whispered them aloud, “Alkaid, Adian, Quinn, Reza, and kore.” She said. “Two males and three females.” She whispered. Her mind already drifting off to a time when she and her mate could engage In their secret conversation of violence.
Time Skip
Sleep had come and went just as fast as she could blink. Hours felt like seconds upon raising these damn pups. They were just old enough now to play and attack one another. Soon they would be able to be introduced to the pack had the pair decided to do so. She was still unsure of those possibilities. Adian was already wandering outside of the den, pouncing on small critters and small mammals. His aggression was growing was he did and he was constantly snarling or attacking one of his sisters. However, his bound with his brother Quinn was the strongest. He felt as if he was his equal and the two could possibly create chaos together. He snarled at his brother and began to grab his ear and tug hard. A small droplet of blood fell to the ground and he growled.
Alkaid was busy watching the snow fall to the ground and was paying no mind to anyone. She enjoyed being alone for the most part and felt her siblings were somewhat of a bother to have around. Being an only child would have been a lot more convenient than having to deal with four other mouths to feed. She shook her head and looked towards her mother and father to see what they were up too. After all by now they could consume some meat and she was looking forwards to having a little regurgitated food soon. Yithus chuckled and began to snarl at her mate. All the playing the cubs were doing was making her anxious to fight again. She was back to her slim figure and no longer lactating. So they could continue communicating the way they knew best now. She also enjoyed pushing the pups around a little to start their hunger for violence going. Adian seemed to be doing just fine with but Alkaid seemed to be somewhat of a push over at times. Then again other times she surprised Yithus with a little pent up aggression released in her direction. Those times were more than amazing in her eyes.

One of youngest of the siblings held her green banded tail high as she bared her white needle like teeth at the falling snow, before jumping upwards to snap up at a choice flake. Her teeth came together with a sharp dissatisfying click as she wondered when they would eat next. But this didn’t bother her much as she shook her simply coloured green dusting on black fur, which named her Kore. She knew she wasn’t as fierce or as strong as her brothers but she continued to watch their example, hoping to someday make her mother proud. But this was next to impossible when she like her other sisters suffered their show off snarls and constant attacks. With that in mind she cast a casual glance at Alkaid whom was as always was off by herself, before looking around for Reza. Suddenly her snout pricked in interest at the scent of blood, and she turned upon her tail to watch her brothers scuffle.

(oh crap...is sorry to ask but can Reza's name be changed? That name, belongs to the main character in Cryptic Allusions and I'm going to confuse myself, as well as Kahea, if I try to keep that name. If you're alright with the name, I'm going to change it to Pashka. And if you're not, then disregard the name in this post. Also, can they talk or no?)
Those calm, alluring eyes watched only from the sidelines, drawn to the violence that instinctively ran through her veins, and yet appalled by the brutish nature. Ears pressed flat against her skull, tail stuck between her legs; neither a whine nor whimper escaped from her vocals. Timidly, she approached the childish chaos with her head dipped low, looking up to the larger of her siblings Quinn, whose ear was dotted with a bead of blood.
Lifting her muzzle, a pink tongue slid from her jowls and gently caressed her brother's wound. Pashka would not even dare glance at Adian for fear that he might lash out at her in expectation that she would fight back. So as quickly as Pashka finished her work, she shied back away from the center, searching out her other sister, Kore, and seeking refuge at her side.
Abyss, tired from the trials of fatherhood, lifted up his skull and gazed an eye on the squabbling children. Their bickering and laughter had kept him up till the late hours, and the noise seemed to penetrate into his brain like a bullet. He was not the father to role over and let the pups treat his tail as a chewtoy, nor the wolf to coddle the kids. Instead, he had shown them his teeth and growled loudly as discipline, scorning them, but rarely scuffing them.
Lips drew up with a wrinkling nose, breathing a long stream growls between his teeth. Fatigued was all, wounded by the burdens and passage of fatherhood. Abyss was not, per say, a bad father, nor was he going to win any awards for his work. Neither was his beloved Yithus. More over, he was surprised that savage Yithus had not fatally maimed her own children just yet, as Abyss had expected and prepared for, ready to steal up and hide away the pups from their mother's unexplainable rage.

What had the time rifts done to them? Now with eyes gleaming at one another, tails flopping uncontrollably, and laughter echoing throughout the endless snow- the litter had become what most parents could define as true chaos. With a small growl he bared his teeth slightly at his brother, although they were not as fierce as his fathers were just yet.
"You don't need to..." he said softly after Pashka licked at his ear. Even though the greatest respect he had for was his brother, who to him was equal, Quinn had an strange fondness of his sisters... Not that it kept him from sneaking up and using force whenever he felt like it.
His eyes stayed locked onto his brother, even after the teeth had been tucked away behind his lips. With a flick of his tail Quinn launched himself at Adian. His large puppy paws planting themselves onto his brothers face and chest, hoping to use his larger size as an advantage.

Kore’s head pricked up in interest at Pashka’s appearance and she watched intently as her sister braved their brothers moods by walking in on the scuffle. With a tilted maw she watched on, as their larger brother Quinn allowed her to clean his wound. Her still blue eyes widened in both admiration and surprise as her sister escaped unscathed, before joining her. “That was a risky thing to do,” She said softly as she gave her sister a reassuring lick on the maw. “I bet you wouldn’t try that again…unless Quinn decides to take it easy on you.” The pup said with a disbelieving laugh.
Suddenly she picked up their fathers growls and she braved a quick glance in his direction. His clear irritation cut her laugh short and she swiftly dipped her maw apologetically. The strange balance between pleasing their mother and father was a difficult thing to keep, especially when both of them expected different things. But this had become a daily routine and a key part of their upbringing, so much so it was almost instinctive…well on come occasions. With a hidden toothy grin directed at Pashka she spoke again, “Who do you think will win this time, Quinn or Adian?” She said as she focused once more on the scuffle.
